This study deals with the space and time distribution of human leukaemia. It took place in seven rural French regions and concerns the six main types of leukaemias and haematosarcomas. The investigation on clustering tendency was carried out using several different methods—principally the simulation method and Knox's and Mantel's approaches. The overall analysis suggests that no clustering tendency is indicated in any département and for any haematological disease. Some points which may be linked with these negative results are discussed.
